RESEARCH SCIENTIST, FOOD SAFETY, Center for Biomedical Innovation (CBI), to conduct research on a project focused on understanding and managing risk associated with intentional adulteration of food supply chains (i.e., poultry, beef, pork, milk, seafood, and produce) in China with a focus on economically motivated adulteration (EMA). The project aims at creating new systemic solutions to predict, monitor, and mitigate risks related to these supply chains, particularly EMA risks that present a major threat to the public health and more generally on the public trust in the integrity of the food system in China.
REQUIRED: a Ph.D. in sciences, math, engineering, or supply chain management; fluency in Chinese and English; experience with data mining, modeling, and visualization and with writing case analyses; excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills that promote collaboration and cooperation; exceptional organizational, time management, and project management skills; excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to consolidate feedback from multiple sources into a cohesive single output document and to create and share deliverable instructions in a clear and concise manner; proven success working both independently and within a dynamic, closely-knit team environment; attention to detail; aptitude for analysis and working with data; good judgment, tact, and discretion with confidential information; proficiency with MS Office software and ability and willingness to learn new programs.
