Position Summary:
Assists in the preparation of quality baked goods for the student board menu, catered events and for cash operations.

Essential Functions:
* Prepares pies, donuts, cakes, breads, cookies and other bakery goods according to order forms.
* Prepares and sets up on platters baked goods for catering functions.
* Cleans work area according to sanitation standards to include equipment, ovens, counters and floors.

General Responsibilities:
* Researches and introduces new bread and dessert items for board plan and catering.
* Performs other duties as assigned to assist the department in obtaining and maintaining its mission.

Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must pass the Managers Level Serve Safe exam within a year of being hired.

Experience:
Requires prior baking experience, preferably institutional baking.

Physical Demands:
* Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
* Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently.
* This job requires long periods of standing. Also requires frequent bending and twisting motions and manual activities.
