Under Supervision of a Unit Supervisor or Manager, serves as Storekeeper during operational periods and performs custodial duties during periods of non-operation; manages storeroom in receiving, storing, and distribution of food items, supplies, chemicals and equipment. Receives, weighs, counts, unpacks and stores food supplies; issues food and requisitioned supplies; organizes and cleans store room and refrigerators; removes trash; position will work a standard schedule, weekends and holidays may be included.
Required: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole number and to read and write simple sentences; 1 course in record keeping or 1 month experience; 1 course in inventory control or 1 month experience; or equivalent; Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.; ability to operate a pallet jack. May be exposed to low temperatures while working cold storage items and also to high temperatures. Will be exposed to variations in weather, and may handle hazardous chemicals.
Desired: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Knowledge of inventory control practices; knowledge of food safety practices; Knowledge of HAACP Principles.
