As a Food Service Associate, you will:
Perform tasks in multiple areas/functions in cafeteria and deli food services such as setting up and closing down stations, cooking, re-stocking, recipe/ingredient preparation, inventory, dish machine operation, and cleaning.
Be responsible for cost and waste control, food presentation, monitoring food quality (temperature, taste, and appearance), training, and providing customer service.
Operate the computer, perform cashiering duties and light maintenance and/or custodial work as needed.
Position will be a 9- or 10- month (academic year) position. From May thru August position will work on an on-call basis. Position requires Food Handler's permit or the ability to obtain a permit by passing the Safety and Sanitation test. Position requires pushing/pulling carts that may exceed 50 lbs. when fully loaded; and requires lifting and moving of heavy items, occasionally up and down stairs.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
High school or equivalent experience, plus one year of experience in a work environment required.
Ability to read, write, weigh and measure necessary.
Ability to learn food service techniques and use of equipment essential.
Customer service skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer experience in cafeteria and deli food service operations.
Flexibility and the ability to communicate and be a team player.
Knowledge of ServeSafe guidelines
Familiarity with cash registers and money handling.
