International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) is hiring for an Events Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support to the VP of Events and the Events Team.

IDDBA is a nonprofit trade association serving food retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, brokers, distributors, and other industry professionals. In addition to its internationally recognized annual tradeshow event, the association provides 365 day-a-year education and business solutions to its robust member base. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Supports department clerical needs
• Manages department documents
• Maintains department archive (contracts, historical data, venue data, etc.)
• Manges department contracting schedule
• Manages association events calendar
• Supports event planning
• Supports association library of board/committee activities
• Supports staff, board, and committee travel
• Works to identify and implement efficiencies

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Positive, flexible outlook
• Understanding of clerical standards
• Some travel, event management experience
• Customer service skills
• Experience with Office 365 applications is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to develop and foster successful, working relationships with all internal departments
• Completes assigned projects on time, with quality to meet objectives and budget fidelity
• Contributes to improving efficiency of association events
• Contributes to long-range plans for Events Department
• Brings supportive, optimistic, “can-do” attitude to department and association projects
• Represents association with optimism and professionalism within association committees and the industry
