The UNL Food Processing Center (FPC) is a multi-disciplinary resource for the food industry, providing a combination of consulting, educational, technical, and business development services. Our mission is to advance the food industry by applying science, investing in people, and building businesses. The FPC has equipment that can be used to produce samples, develop, scale-up, and test product formulas and food ingredients. The Dairy Pilot Plant provides these services to UNL and to external clients. The products sold at the UNL Dairy Store are produced and packaged at the Dairy Pilot Plant.

Consult with clients to meet their needs and ensure their satisfaction throughout the production process.
Supervise, train, and develop a team of student workers, helping them to build skills in the food manufacturing industry.
