Duties/Responsibilities:35% Culture raw milk and environmental samples from dairy farms for the presence of bacteria.35% Identify bacteria using MALDI ToF Biotyper.10% Perform quality control procedures to ensure testing accuracy.10% Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including incubators, autoclaves, pipettes, and balances.Adhere to practices and regulations governing biosafety and biosecurity in the workplace.5% Perform general laboratory maintenance tasks including but not limited to inventory, stocking supplies, disposal of biohazardouswaste, and general laboratory cleaning.5% Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
