The Meat and Muscle Biology Program at the Department of Animal and Food Science seeks self-motivated MS or PhD students starting in fall 2025. Students interested in meat quality research with a focus on meat color are encouraged to apply. There will be flexibility in choosing research topics (applied or basic). The graduate students in our program have opportunities to participate in industry, federal, and commodity group projects. In addition, students can serve as teaching assistants, mentor students, present research at national/international conferences, and be involved in various clubs.
