The General Manager will manage the daily and strategic operations at the Chick-Fil- A restaurant in the Nebraska City Union.
As the General Manager, you will:
Be passionate for providing high-quality leadership, and high-quality customer service.
Create and maintain a safe and inviting environment for customers and employees.
Exercise discretion regularly and customarily in managing the overall operations of the retail concept location
Hire, train, supervise and direct the team
Train all staff to meet the expectations and standards of the Chick-fil-A brand and University Dining
Ensure customer satisfaction and product quality
Manage the store's financial performance and review sales trends
Order products and supplies according to forecasted need
Manage the safety and security within the store
The General Manager is also responsible for upholding the brand standards for branded restaurant concepts it oversees.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in food-related, business, or hotel/restaurant management field plus four years of retail management experience, including personnel management required; equivalent education/experience considered. Demonstrated experience at building community relationships necessary. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing essential. Must have ability to manage store operations independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously required. Must have ability to manage resources to ensure that established service levels are always achieved. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning and customer service skills essential. Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures required. Strong operational skills in a customer-service environment necessary. Must have strong problem-solving, team building and leadership skills. Ability to coach and mentor others, plan and prioritize workload and handle confidential and sensitive information required. Knowledge of cost controls, inventory controls and food safety/sanitation programs necessary. Knowledge of personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and internet necessary. Food Handler's permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a relevant food/dietetic/hospitality or business field. Five years in retail positions of increasing responsibilities preferred. Staff training experience desirable. Excellent skills in customer relations, team building, and communications. Knowledge of electronic payroll and computerized food management systems preferred.
