Description:
The University Place Hotel is recruiting for a temporary part time Food Service Worker 1. The Food Service Worker performs a variety of routine food service activities such as setting up condiments and food pans; preparing food trays; serving on food lines; clearing and cleaning tables, counters, and serving areas; and washing dishes, pots, and pans in a volume dining or food service facility. Employees in this class may assist higher-level staff members by preparing cold foods such as sandwiches and garden salads. Hours and schedule will fluctuate depending on the needs of the restaurant and the event spaces.

Minimum Qualifications:
Familiarity with food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards.
Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
Ability to listen to and follow directions, including safety procedures.
Customer service skills.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to learn new skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Knowledge of food safety.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods, up to 6 hours a day.
