The University of Notre Dame University Operations, Events, and Safety division is currently hiring for the position of Retail Associate(Full Time) within the Huddle. The University Operations, Events, and Safety division leads the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Why this position? The Retail Associate provides the Notre Dame community and guests with the very best in foods and services. Makes all guests feel welcome by providing a warm, friendly atmosphere and being responsive to the changing needs and desires of our customers. Prepares a variety of food items in multi-unit food and beverage operations, a convenience store, for delivery service and catering functions. Responsible for performing all tasks relating to retail including safety and sanitation of food service facilities, including food prep areas, and guest areas. Operates the cash register recording guest orders, and tendering sales. Assigns, and participates in the preparation, stocking, and rotating of food inventories. Leads by example while training new employees.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
1-6 months of experience
Competent food industry skills including use of kitchen equipment such as but not limited to slicers, fryers, ovens, grills, espresso/steamer, blenders, and knives, food safety practices, Understands and can respond to HACCP, and the ability to read and follow recipes.
Friendly, and personable with a variety of personality types.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must be able to complete course and obtain a Food Handling Certification
