Abbey Specialty Foods is a family owned business founded in 1999. We are an
importer and distributor of specialty foods and other specialty perishable products from around
the world. The success of Abbey Specialty Foods is our focus on importing from small dairies
producing unique and flavorful cheeses in small batches and big flavors.

This position will be responsible for the continued growth of existing accounts and developing
new accounts in the Western Region. They will also be responsible for managing brokers and
the implementation of sales and marketing plans.

Responsibilities:

• Call on active and prospective customers and grow our market share.
• Present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, including price quotes and credit terms.
• Broker Management
• Train Brokers and Distributor Sales force on Abbey Specialty Foods and its products.
• Represent the company at trade shows, events, and meetings.
• Process orders timely and accurately.
• Collect account receivables when necessary.
• Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.
• Meet/exceed sales targets. 

Required Qualifications: The qualified applicant should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
or the equivalent in specialty cheese experience. Superior market knowledge of the Western
Region. Experience in sales of imported cheeses in the retail and foodservice markets. Broker
and distributor management experience. The ability to travel 50% of the time. Must be located
in the Western Region (CA, WA, OR, ID, NV, AZ, UT, CO, NM, WY, or MT) and have excellent
communication skills both oral and written.

Desired Qualifications: 3-5 years of sales experience in the specialty imported cheese industry.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
